If you are not able to use the on-line registration system (for example, you need to submit a form for approval or accounting reasons), or you want to review a PDF copy of the registration form before proceeding to the on-line system, download a PDF copy of the Registration Form (click on the link in the right-hand column.) 

You do not have to use both a PDF form and the on-line system. You can create your itinerary on-line and print it (it will be saved automatically). Submit the printed itinerary with any requests for approval or reimbursement. Once approval is received, simply access your itinerary (steps 1 and 2, below) and proceed to register and pay, or adjust your itinerary as necessary.

Conference registration rates


May 1 to August 15, 2016: $799 for CDA members; $889 for non-members
After August 15, 2016: $899 for CDA members; $989 for non-members

Nova Scotia HST - 15% - will be added to all event prices.

If your organization is paying for your registration and it is GST/HST exempt, please review your order before paying to ensure that HST has not been charged. If it has, please do not complete your order; instead, contact the CDA office via e-mail or telephone to have your account coded correctly so that taxation is not charged.


Membership Pricing


Members-only pricing is offered for a Full Delegate Registration and for registration in Workshop C: Dams and Public Safety. If you are currently a CDA member but the registration system charges you the non-member rate, the reason is your membership expires sometime before the Conference (likely June 30, 2016).


You can check your expiry date by signing in to your CDA account and going to your Account page (click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen).


By paying the non-member rate, your membership will be renewed to June 30, 2017 and you will retain all the benefits of CDA membership.


Alternatively, you can do a two-step process:
1) Renew your membership first (via "Shop CDA");
2) Register for the Conference.


If you are registering for both a Full Delegate Registration AND Workshop C, we prefer that you use the two-step process to avoid us having to issue a refund; however, if necessary a refund of the extra membership will be provided.


On-line Registration

You can browse all the Conference information without signing in, but to register you must sign in. HINT: We recommend signing-in before going to the Conference Registration system.


Step-by-Step

Conference on-line registration consists of four easy steps:


Step 1: Sign-In to the Website

Click on "Sign In" in the upper-right hand corner. Complete details on signing-in are on the Sign-In page.
Once you are signed in, return to this page to learn about the rest of the steps, or go immediately to Events > Event List > CDA Conference 2016/ 2016 ACB Congrès.

Step 2: Activate the Registration System

Click on “Register Myself” to activate the registration system. This will allow you to choose the activities that you want and add them to your itinerary.

Step 3: Create an itinerary by choosing your activities

HINT: Before reviewing your options, you may want to “Select Programs by Category” (your options are “Day", "Category" or "View All”).

Create an itinerary by choosing the program items that you wish to attend. Simply click on the "Add" button to build your registration. Every program item is listed with its price and a brief description; if you need more detail, come back to the conference website.

From the list of program items, choose the program items that you wish to attend.
a. Choose your delegate registration from the options presented in Category 01, and respond to the questions that appear below the registration options.  Once you've responded to the questions, please click on "Save Responses".
b. Choose any pre-conference workshops from Category 02.
c. Choose a post-conference technical tour from Category 03.
d. Choose any social events not included in your delegate registration from Category 04.

Hint: We recommend reviewing your itinerary before going to Step 4: Submit Payment. To do so, click on “Only display program items in registrant’s itinerary” to see the items that you have chosen. You may want to print it as well.

You can review your itinerary and add or delete functions at any time, even after you register and pay. The system will create a refund (processed by staff) or allow you to pay any additional charges. You might find this useful if you decide to add a Technical Tour or workshop closer to the conference date. Simply go back to the Conference registration page and add or delete items from your itinerary, and follow the remaining steps.

 

Step 4: Submit Payment

Click on “Proceed to Checkout” (or click on your Shopping Cart in the upper right-hand corner). Payment is by credit card. The system will generate a confirmation and send it to the e-mail address that we have on file. There is the option to send the confirmation to multiple e-mail addresses.

If you are unable to pay by credit card, choose the “Bill Me” option to generate an invoice, and submit a copy of the Confirmation notice with your payment. You may need to use this option if your accounting department needs to issue a purchase order, or if your organization is tax-exempt. Note that your registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund of your registration fees, less a $50.00 administration charge, will be processed upon receipt of written cancellation notice to CDA received no later than September 23, 2016. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after September 23, 2016. Substitutions for full registrations from the same organization will be accepted if submitted in writing up to and including October 7, 2016.

 

Additional Information

International Delegates

If you require a letter of invitation to arrange for a travel visa to attend this Conference, please click here to submit your request by e-mail to the CDA office. To determine the travel documents that you need to enter Canada, please visit the Canadian government website.


Use of Private Information
Please review the Conference Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to have your name included in the Participants' List, please answer the Participants' List question as part of your delegate registration.

Opt-Out of CDA Membership
If you are not already a current member, your full delegate, two-day delegate, student delegate, or Workshop "C" registration (indicated as non-member fee) automatically includes a complimentary membership in CDA for the 2016-2017 membership year. If you wish to opt-out of this benefit, please click here to submit your request to opt-out by e-mail to the CDA office. You will still be required to pay the non-member rate.

No Registration Sharing
Each individual must have their own delegate registration. CDA does not permit a company to buy one registration and share it among multiple individuals. Please contact the Event Coordinator if more information is required.
